You are buying an Alabama proof sterling silver medal from the "Historic Silverseals of the States of the Union" set produced by the Franklin Mint. Size is approximately 38mm or about the size of a silver dollar but the edge is not as thick as a silver dollar. Display sheet is 8" x 10".-----Only 2,905 sets were produced in September of 1979 with an issue price of $14.50 per medal, making this a pretty scarce set. The actual silver content is approximately .35 pure silver per medal.
