You are bidding on one of the most comprehensive collectors’ issues to feature the stars of the Negro Leagues, the Fritsch set features black-and-white photos of varying quality; most of the photos are contemporary with the players’ careers from the 1920s into the 1950s, with a few of the segregated leagues’ earlier pioneers also included. Fronts are highlighted with red graphics. Backs are printed in blue and present a brief summary of the player’s career and a list of the teams on which he played. Some of the star players that included are Jackie Robinson, Buck Lenoard, Monte Irvin, Oscar Charleston, Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige, Rube Foster, Sam Jethroe, Buck O'Neil, Jim Gilliam, Luke Easter, "Cool Papa" Bell & Dan Bankhead. The cards are pack fresh & in standard 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" format. Cards will be boxed, padded, & mailed in a Priority Mail Padded Flat Rate Envelope.
