Once the buyer has received an order, Sportlots encourages them to leave feedback for the seller. The buyer should let others know and reward sellers for providing quality products and good customer service. However, if the buyer is not happy with their purchase, we ask that they give the seller the opportunity to improve the outcome by first filing an issue with the seller so they can attempt to fix the outcome. That is why Sportlots will not allow buyers to leave negative feedback until they have first at least filed an issue with the seller. See "Order Issues" in this user guide for more information on how to file an issue.
To leave feedback, use the "Leave Feedback" link on the menu bar under the "My Orders" tab. When the buyer clicks on this link, they will be brought to a page to leave feedback for qualified orders. Please be sure to also leave comments. These comments can only be seen by the seller, but it's a great way to let sellers know what they are doing well, or offer them constructive feedback so they can make improvements.
Be very careful when leaving feedback. There is no way to change the feedback in the system. Be sure to wait until the final outcome of an order before leaving feedback, as well. If a negative feedback is left, it will be very difficult to continue working on a positive outcome with the seller if bad feedback has already been left. Give the seller an opportunity to improve the outcome before leaving feedback.
If feedback has already been left and a change needs to occur either because of a mistake or something has changed, please contact Sportlots through the "Contact Sportlots" link provided under the "Help" tab on the Sportlots menu bar. Be sure to include the full order ID and the seller ID. Please also provide a brief description of why the feedback should be changed and we will make the appropriate changes.
